Thanks for the question! I based the joke here off the 3.5 D&D version of Forbiddance which would mean 6d6 damage if only one axis were different and 12d6 if both axes were different. How much damage did Gil take? What is Hugan’s alignment? I try to keep things like that vague if it is rules specific. I will say that the original Hugan was a priest of Kelemvor in Forgotten Realms and even that deity’s alignment shifted across editions.
Given Hugans knee jerk reaction to immediately judging him, id say he’s lawful definitely lawful.
So, is the gnome true neutral? chaotic neutral? lawful neutral?
I would imagine based on the last two pages that the Gnome isn’t lawful at all. Most likely true neutral or chaotic neutral.
I am intentionally not saying right now to build suspense, but he is not lawful. Hopefully his actions will speak for his character sheet.
Does the alignment only need to match on the good-evil axis or are all of them LG (or whatever the guy is)?
