I wanted to let our readers know the story behind the “gnarf” (pronounced g-narf). The original player of Boonda was a first-time player whose husband had been playing for years. When they joined my campaign, he made a gnome beguiler and she made a dwarf barbarian. She felt that because their players were married, their characters should be too. The gnome had other ideas. Due to some misunderstandings intentionally created by others in the party, Boonda was smitten with the gnome and declared they would have little baby “gnarfs”, thus creating a long-standing running joke among the party.

I sure do miss that campaign. I also miss our friends that this page is based on and their “gnarfs”. 🙂
Long live BOONDA!
