point of fact- she wouldn’t Fall From grace (or isn’t supposed to- it technically is up to the DM)- a Paladin Falls From Grace when they DELIBERATELY break their oaths. She WOULD be compelled to redeem herself (sort of- it’s not strictly speaking a requirement as much as if she didn’t care, she’d no longer be LG so would Fall From Grace due to THAT, not the killing as such.)
Depending on how strict the GM is, it could go either way. Taking an innocent life while that person is mind controlled could result in needing Atonement or maybe more, especially if it’s not the first time. For the sake of the story it was a way of pointing out there are other solutions than killing.
